We need look no further than nature to witness mother natures great martial gift to humanity. ALL Martial concepts lead back to Wrestling. It was natures gift to us to be able to compete for resources and mating rights without ensuring mutual destruction. https://youtu.be/LM29YpVkQp4?si=kPEqhfIlVQy4QOOx
It is, in my opinion, the most important aspect of Martial Arts training. When you include throws, trips, slams, chokes and joint manipulation, it becomes one of the deadliest skills to possess in the world. Once you add striking to the mix, it increases your defensive and offensive span and ability to control timing and space. Add a force multiplier and one can take on many in defense if they are so called to do so.
It’s a skill that takes time, but I promise the squeeze is worth every bit of the juice. It not only builds skills, confidence, athletic abilities, but it also molds you into a person that is able to overcome some of life’s greatest obstacles with a cool, calm and level headed approach. Obtaining these skills requires a right of passage, one that is consistent with being forged in fire.
I’m not sure a person can ever access their full potential without experiencing this process. It will help you acquire superhuman abilities, so you may lift the heavy burdens life has to offer with ease.
If you want to be the best version of yourself. Wrestle. Because someday Brutus will try and take something from you, and on that day, he will be outmatched.
